Way back around 1970, on my first trip to Universal Studios (There was only Hollywood back then) I remember they had a partial mockup of the Munster home. They had recreated a bit of the exterior, You would enter the front door, go down a few steps, and you were in Grandpa's lab. They had a dummy of Herman strapped to a table, and if you moved a lever, sparks would fly, and the table would move. I was very disapointed that this would be gone by my third trip, but I will remember it always.

I would have loved to see that! I'm from New Orleans and recently took a trip to Los Angeles. I was kind of upset that Universal didn't have more dedicated to The Munsters.

If you want to see something dedicated to the munsters, you have to travel to Texas. The house used in "Here comes the Munsters" was (I've heard) de-gothed. I'm not sure which house was used for the Munster Christmas special, but if anybody knows, maybe they can fill us in, as I can't find out anything about it. The Munster Koach in that movie is kept in the background, and I suspect they dressed up a T-bucket for that presentation. If anyone has information on that version of the Koach, I'd be interested.
